Within our Autonomy Software organization, we are actively expanding our self-driving capabilities to new geofences — pushing our vehicles into more complex and diverse real-world environments.</span></div><div> </div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer Co-Op to support this expansion effort. Working directly with our autonomy engineering teams, you will gain hands-on experience developing, testing, and analyzing the software that powers our autonomous vehicles. If you are passionate about robotics, self-driving systems, and writing software that matters, this is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact at one of the most ambitious companies in autonomous mobility.</span></div><br><br><h3>Key Responsibilities: </h3><ul><li><strong>Software Development &amp; Testing:</strong> Support development and testing efforts to improve driving performance across new geofences, contributing directly to the reliability and safety of our AV stack.</li><li><strong>Data Analysis &amp; Reporting:</strong> Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on autonomous driving data to surface insights that drive engineering decisions.</li><li><strong>System Evaluation:</strong> Help analyze and test autonomy software, identifying failure modes and supporting root cause investigations.</li><li><strong>Documentation:</strong> Contribute to clear, accurate technical documentation to support team knowledge sharing and process consistency.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications: </h3><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.</li><li><strong>Technical Chops: </strong>Proficiency in C++, with familiarity with software development processes and best practices.</li><li><strong>Analytical Mindset:</strong> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.</li><li><strong>Collaborative Spirit:</strong> Comfortable working across teams and communicating technical findings clearly to peers and leads.</li><li><strong>Proactive Attitude:</strong> Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-impact engineering environment.</li></ul><br><div>$30 per hour.</div><div> </div><div>This is a contract position and employment for this position will be through a vendor contracted with Zoox. The hourly pay range is posted and you will be eligible for a benefits package as offered by the vendor.</div>
