This role drives cross-functional alignment, establishes robust launch Quality systems, and supports greenfield plant readiness. With extensive OEM experience, the Senior Manager ensures that new models meet world-class Quality standards, while building strong processes, teams, and capabilities that support long-term Lean and Manufacturing Operational Excellence.</p><p><strong>You Will: </strong></p><p><strong>Launch Quality Leadership:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead all Quality-related activities for new vehicle programs, from concept through SOP and early ramp-up.</li><li>Develop and execute comprehensive Launch Quality Plans, including APQP deliverables, Quality gates, and readiness metrics.</li><li>Oversee prototype, pilot, and pre-production build Quality, ensuring early detection and resolution of issues.</li><li>Drive Design for Quality (DFQ) integration with Product and Manufacturing Engineering teams.</li><li>Ensure PPAP, DVPR, process validation, and control plan readiness for all launch components and systems.</li><li>Ensure Quality Operations Readiness cross-functionally in collaboration of Manufacturing, Manufacturing Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Learning &amp; Development, Human Resources.</li></ul><p><strong>Greenfield Plant Quality Readiness</strong></p><ul><li>Establish Quality systems, standards, and processes for new manufacturing sites.</li><li>Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new production lines and equipment.</li><li>Build launch-specific Quality procedures, launch control plans, inspection standards, and sampling strategies tailored to EV manufacturing.</li><li>Ensure deployment of Core Quality Tools to support the built-in-Quality (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC…).</li><li>Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and customer requirements.</li><li>Track and report launch Quality KPIs, risks, and mitigation plans to executive leadership.</li><li>Support benchmarking, capability improvements, and Quality operating system enhancements.</li></ul><p><strong>Issues Management &amp; Continuous Improvement</strong></p><ul><li>Lead structured problem-solving for launch, ramp-up and early field issues.</li><li>Implement robust issues-management processes to ensure timely closure of critical launch concerns.</li><li>Drive lessons learned from previous launches and ensure their integration into future programs.</li><li>Monitor early warranty, in-station Quality, end-of-line performance, and launch defect rates and drive associated corrective actions.</li><li>Monitor Supplier issues from Launch to SOP in coordination with Supplier Quality Development to ensure parts readiness and maturity.</li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary interface between plant Quality, product engineering, and program leadership for all launch Quality topics.</li><li>Collaborate with Supplier Quality to ensure supplier readiness, PPAP approvals, and incoming Quality performance.</li><li>Partner with Manufacturing, NPI, and Operations to ensure Clear-to-Build readiness for new programs.</li><li>Facilitate cross-functional reviews on open issues ensuring alignment on priorities and closure plans.</li><li>Establish a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Coordinate resources, timelines, and deliverables across the Launch Quality organization.</li></ul><p><strong>You Bring: </strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.</li><li>Minimum of 12 years of experience in automotive OEMs, including: Leading multiple new vehicles launch from concept to full production capacity. and greenfield plant launch or major plant expansions.</li><li>Extensive experience with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA, and EV-specific Quality requirements.</li><li>Strong understanding of vehicle systems and architecture.</li><li>Demonstrated success in issues management, early field Quality, and warranty reduction.</li><li>Ability to travel up to 25%.</li><li>Strong leadership with proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional launch<br>programs.</li><li>Deep expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and structured problem-solving.</li><li>Excellent analytical, data-driven decision-making skills.</li><li>Effective communicator with strong executive-level presentation abilities.</li><li>Skilled at influencing across matrixed organizations and global teams.</li><li>Strong time-management and prioritization capabilities.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.</li><li>Ability to foster collaboration, inclusivity, and a high-performance Quality culture</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><div><div><p><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
