This role focuses on analyzing and </span><span>optimizing</span> <span>logistics</span><span> flows from inbound truck parking bay to internal/external warehouses, dock to marketplace, kitting, sequencing/auto call systems, and lineside parts feeding strategies. The Senior Engineer contributes to lean, agile, and cost-effective solutions that enable seamless production and operational excellence.</span><span> The ideal candidate brings strong engineering </span><span>expertise</span><span> and proven ability to work with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.</span></span><span> </span></p><div> </div><div> </div><div><h3><strong>You Will:</strong></h3><ul><li>Collaborate with a high-performing logistics engineering team to analyze, design, and optimize in-<em>plant</em> logistics systems including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.</li><li>Lead strategic initiatives such as network design, capacity planning, cost-to-serve modeling, and logistics performance improvements.</li><li>Design and refine warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and logistics flows using AutoCAD, simulation tools, and engineering analysis.</li><li>Evaluate and implement automation technologies (e.g., conveyors, ASRS, AGVs, robotics) to boost productivity and throughput.</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams—operations, IT, procurement, and 3PLs—to align logistics strategies across the organization.</li><li>Manage RFPs and infrastructure investments for logistics assets, including new site development and facility expansion.</li><li>Analyze logistics data and KPIs to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.</li><li>Drive lean logistics initiatives and support Kaizen events and Six Sigma projects.</li><li>Support new product introductions, <em>plant</em> launches, and business expansions with scalable logistics solutions.</li><li>Ensure logistics operations comply with safety standards, environmental regulations, and corporate policies.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3><strong>You Bring:</strong></h3><ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, or a related field (preferred).</li><li>4–7 years of experience in the automotive industry or material flow engineering.</li><li>At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.</li><li>Proven ability to design and optimize material flow systems.</li><li>Familiarity with Lean <em>Manufacturing</em> systems such as TPS and WCM.</li><li>Exposure to automation technologies and logistics data analysis.</li><li>Strong engineering and team coordination experience.</li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.</li><li>A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail.</li><li>Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.</li><li>Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.</li><li>Understanding of sustainability practices and circular economy principles in packaging.</li><li>Experience working cross-functionally and managing stakeholder expectations.</li><li>Strategic thinking with the ability to align material flow initiatives with broader business goals.</li><li>A track record of supporting and developing high-performing teams.</li><li>Decision-making skills under pressure and in ambiguous situations.</li><li>Ability to influence and drive change across departments and external partners.</li><li>Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.</li><li>A passion for transformation and continuous improvement.</li></ul></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div><div><p><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
