You appreciate that the best R&amp;D happens when scientists and engineers have world-class tools and want to be a key part of the team creating them.</p><h2><strong>Responsibilities and Duties  </strong></h2><ul><li>Lead the design, development, qualification, and scaleup of novel electrode and cell prototyping and testing capabilities</li><li>Manage projects involving multiple functions to stay on target and keep stakeholders informed</li><li>Document and train teammates on the operation and data analysis of systems and processes</li><li>Proactively identify issues and support operations by continuously improving system performance</li><li>Invest in our values and vision and champion them as we grow</li></ul><h2><strong>Knowledge and Skill Requirements </strong></h2><ul><li>Experience developing materials, assembly, or test processes, particularly for R&amp;D</li><li>Demonstrated cross-functional project management skills</li><li>Experience implementing safety and data collection/analysis best practices</li><li>At least a B.S. in engineering or physical science <strong>and</strong> 5 years of hands-on industry experience; lithium-ion battery experience is a plus</li><li>Experience in computer automated design (mechanical or electrical) is a plus</li></ul><h2><strong>Physical Demands and Working Conditions</strong></h2><ul><li>Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes</li><li>Move items up to 30 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts</li><li>Move long distances (such as from building to building)</li><li>Precisely manipulate equipment and tools, such as screwdrivers and wrenches</li></ul><p> </p><p>The starting base pay for this role is between $151,000 and $177,500 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills.
