This role distributes work orders across manufacturing lines, ensures lines are properly loaded, constraints are identified and mitigated, and aligns materials and labor to meet immediate requirements. The Production Scheduler is an essential link among Production, Planning, Customer Service, and Buyer/Planners—ensuring the shop floor executes according to schedule and delivers on customer commitments.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to:   <ul><li>Generate detailed, short‑term production line schedules derived from the site production plan, ensuring clarity and tactical direction for each value stream.</li><li>Assign daily and weekly work to individual value streams based on labor, equipment availability, and priority requirements.</li><li>Evaluate and mitigate short-term labor and equipment constraints, escalating issues when needed and adjusting schedules to maintain alignment with delivery commitments and resource plans.</li><li>Collaborate with Production Supervisors to balance workloads, optimize resource utilization, and ensure schedule attainment.</li><li>Monitor On-Time to Promise (OTP) and drive root cause corrective action (RCCA) to address delays, disruptions, or schedule deviations.</li><li>Manage order changes, rescheduling, and recovery plans to protect both OTP and On-Time to Request (OTR) performance.</li><li>Work directly with Buyer/Planners to resolve material-related constraints and ensure supply for immediate production needs.</li><li>Support Customer Service by responding to specific customer order inquiries, including promise dates and schedule status.</li><li>Partner with Master Scheduler, Planning, and Production teams to maintain alignment to the production plan.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, reduce bottlenecks, and increase value stream performance.</li><li>Support site continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS: <ul><li>Associate or Bachelor degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred</li><li>3–5 years of manufacturing experience, with proven operational execution.</li><li>Experience working with and maintaining ERP Data (SAP preferred).</li><li>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and shop floor execution.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience using CI Lean Manufacturing Tools.</li><li>Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Power BI</li><li>Demonstrated ability to analyze constraints, problem solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional areas.</li><li>Ability to comply with all required PPE, including safety glasses, Hi‑Viz vest, and safety‑toe shoes.</li></ul>Why Xylem? We believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
