In this role, you will be responsible for conducting quality inspections, managing parts inventory, coordinating repairs, and ensuring that all rooftop air conditioning units (RTUs) and subcomponents meet our high-quality standards before deployment.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct quality inspections on in-house RTUs and subcomponents using Budderfly’s survey tool at our Milford, CT warehouse.</li><li>Identify and quarantine units that do not pass quality control standards.</li><li>Coordinate with the Procurement and Fulfillment teams to establish and maintain an inventory of service parts for quick-turn repairs.</li><li>Collaborate with Budderfly’s supply chain leadership to make repair and re-test vs. part-out decisions regarding quarantined RTUs as needed.</li><li>Maintain accurate and organized records of testing, quarantine status, and final approvals both within the survey tool and ERP system.</li><li>Build upon existing processes and workflows to boost efficiency and validity of testing.</li><li>Work with Procurement and Service teams on warranty claims with OEMs.</li><li>Review data with internal teams to help create and maintain OEM quality scorecards.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum of 2 years' experience in HVAC; technician experience is strongly preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in refrigeration diagnostics and troubleshooting HVAC components.</li><li>Previous experience in quality control or inspection roles is preferred.</li><li>Comfortable using digital tools and devices (iPad, tablets, etc.).</li><li>Forklift operation experience is a plus.</li><li>Certifications: EPA 608 and OSHA 10 desired.</li><li>Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with contractors and internal teams.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in a distribution center environment.</li><li>Eagerness for continuous learning and professional development.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally within the organization.</li></ul>Compensation$30 - $36 USDCompensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.<div><div><div>Compensation</div><div>$30—$36 USD</div></div></div><div>Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.What We Offer:<ul><li>Career advancement opportunities in a fast-growing, supportive company environment</li><li>Competitive pay</li><li>Full benefits package including medical, dental, vison, 401K, life insurance, and disability insurance</li><li>Opportunity to work as part of a team that values its members and works together to achieve positive change.</li></ul>Budderfly is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, citizenship status, age, national origin, ancestry, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status, and to affirmatively seek to advance the principles of equal employment opportunity.We welcome all job seekers, including those with disabilities.
