CDE is responsible for the execution of a fleet portfolio that includes design solutions supporting risk reduction, equipment obsolescence, and plant modernization. The Harris Nuclear Plant Corporate Design Civil Engineering team manages the capital engineering change (EC) portfolio at the Harris/Robinson nuclear sites. The team collaborates with other CDE staff to ensure that high quality design solutions are delivered to meet site needs and milestone requirements.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop the scope, technical basis, installation and testing requirements for engineering design changes, which include but are not limited to, pipe hanger design, structural analysis, pipe stress analysis, soil and steel/concrete structure evaluations/field support, seismic equipment qualification, and weld design.</li><li>Research engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, determines and presents recommendations to resolve issues.</li><li>Provide ongoing support for assigned engineering design changes through work order reviews, corrective action program assignments, and field installation support activities.</li><li>Develop or revise design specifications or technical requirements documents to support engineering design changes.</li><li>Develop or revise complex engineering calculations impacted by engineering design changes.</li><li>Develop safety screens and evaluations that support engineering design changes.</li><li>Revise site design basis documents, design drawings, and regulatory documents impacted by engineering design changes.</li></ul>Basic/Required QualificationsNuclear Engineer III<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.</li><li>A Master 's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.</li><li>4-6 years of engineering experience.</li></ul>Sr Nuclear Engineer<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.</li><li>A Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school will be considered in lieu of the B.S.
