We are present on four continents and are headquartered in Oslo, Norway. Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for HSSE Manager -Wind in Ras Gharib, Egypt to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future.As our HSSE Manager, you will ensure the effective development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) practices across the project. You will provide professional and efficient support to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with internal requirements, legal regulations, and international standards. You will be part of an ambitious global team and play an important role in promoting a strong HSSE culture and safeguarding Scatec’s operations. Main responsibilities:<ul> <li>Support the implementation of the project HSSE Management System in line with the HSSE Plan, ensuring all requirements are actively managed and adhered to.</li> <li>Develop, implement, and enforce HSSE procedures, including those specific to wind turbine installation, heavy lifting, and high-altitude work, while ensuring effective communication and awareness.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all legal permits, applicable legislation, and international standards (e.g., ISO 45001 and ISO 14001), supporting their interpretation and application across the project.</li> <li>Act as the key liaison with authorities and stakeholders on HSSE matters, providing regular reporting on HSSE performance, incidents, and key performance indicators.</li> <li>Support continuous improvement of the HSSE program and documentation, ensuring effective implementation across project activities.</li> <li>Manage and coordinate HSSE personnel (internal and contractors), fostering a strong safety culture and communication systems that encourage hazard identification and worker participation.</li> <li>Monitoring site safety by ensuring risk assessments are conducted and applied, participating in planning and progress meetings, and maintaining proper documentation of HSSE activities and nonconformities.</li> <li>Lead incident reporting, investigations, training, audits, and emergency preparedness activities, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and a proactive safety culture is maintained.</li></ul> Qualifications and competencies <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupational Health &amp; Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.</li> <li>Minimum 10 years of HSSE experience within construction, including at least 5 years in a managerial role; experience in wind energy projects is highly preferred.</li> <li>NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent certification is considered an advantage.</li> <li>Knowledge or certification in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, as well as GWO (Global Wind Organisation) safety training, is an advantage.</li> <li>Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.</li> <li>Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to drive a proactive safety culture across projects.</li></ul>Additional Information: 12 Month Contract with potential contract extension. Personal characteristicsIt is part of every employees’ terms of reference to contribute to Scatec's vision: Improving our Future and adhere to our company values which are:<ul> <li>Predictable: demonstrate clear communication and listening skills, shares information in an open and honest way</li> <li>Driving results: demonstrate determination, pro-activeness, can prioritise and work independently</li> <li>Changemaker: demonstrate entrepreneurship, can challenge, fast learner, take initiates and adjust</li> <li>Working together: demonstrate teamwork, shares responsibilities, can compromise, has a can-do attitude</li></ul>We offerScatec is an exciting, innovative and ambitious company operating in a growing industry.
