This role will be responsible for ensuring the correct US GAAP accounting treatment for accounts payable, accounts receivable and other asset-related categories.  This role will support the business for forecasts, budgets and analysis relating to other asset-related categories. They will also be responsible for ensuring that we maximize the potential from our existing underlying systems (Oracle and BlackLine) and consistently evolve to embrace new technology. In addition, the role will be responsible for ensuring all processes are in adherence to AECOM policies and procedures and compliant with relevant SOX narratives and controls.This role will report into the ‘Manager, Accounting, AP, AR &amp; Other Assets - GBS’.Responsibilities &amp; Duties AR/AP and Other Asset category management, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting<ul><li>Ensure close process, month end review and flux analysis is completed accurately and on a timely basis.</li><li>Oversee the monthly reconciliation process to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial statements.</li><li>Oversee the reconciliation of accounts payable/accounts receivable subledger, journal and clearing accounts and liaison with Source to Pay (S2P)/Order to Cash (O2C) to resolve discrepancies and upstream process issues.</li><li>Oversee the reconciliation of employee advances, liaison with S2P to resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Oversee the reconciliation of Employee expense/P-card accounts, liaison with S2P to resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Support Finance and Operations providing accurate and timely reports and ad-hoc analysis to aid in decision making.</li><li>Preparation of accounts receivable, accounts payable and other asset-related disclosures for 10K/10Q.</li><li>Preparation of statutory accounts disclosures for multiple legal entities.</li></ul>Auditing and Compliance Monitoring<ul><li>Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure compliance with relevant local regulatory requirements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with AP, AR and other asset-related category SOX narratives and control documentation.</li><li>Participate in self-testing program to proactively identify and remediate control gaps before audits.</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.</li></ul>Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Identify and implement changes that generate efficiencies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Partner with S2P and O2C to drive operational efficiencies and process improvement.</li><li>Ensure existing systems (Oracle, BlackLine) are optimized and identify new technology opportunities.</li><li>Deliver on internal KPI’s and customer focused SLA’s to deliver a best in class general accounting service.</li></ul><ul></ul>Attributes: <ul><li>Ability to obtain information and identify key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-term goal or vision (Strategic Decision Making)</li><li>Ability to understand various business scenarios and make sound decisions by combining relevant factors to arrive at the best outcome (Business Acumen)</li><li>Ability to drive to create experiences and opportunities that will lead to innovation.
