This role requires strong attention to detail, steady hand coordination, and the ability to work with small, delicate components in a clean manufacturing environment.<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Assemble, terminate, and polish fiber optic connectors and cable assemblies according to engineering specifications and work instructions.</li><li>Operate fiber optic preparation tools including cleavers, strippers, microscopes, and polishing equipment.</li><li>Inspect fiber optic components using microscopes and other precision measurement tools to ensure quality and compliance.</li><li>Perform optical testing such as insertion loss and return loss measurements.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation, traveler sign-offs, and production records.</li><li>Follow cleanroom and ESD procedures while working with sensitive components.</li><li>Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to assembly processes and product quality.</li><li>Communicate issues related to tooling, materials, or documentation promptly to supervisors or engineering teams.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Experience in manufacturing, electronics assembly, or fiber optics preferred.</li><li>Ability to work with small components and fine motor tools.</li><li>Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to follow detailed written instructions and engineering drawings.</li><li>Basic computer skills for documentation and training modules.</li><li>Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a production environment.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Prior experience with fiber optic assembly processes (cleaving, polishing, testing).</li><li>Understanding of cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments.</li><li>Experience working with microscopes and precision measurement equipment.</li><li>Familiarity with optical testing equipment and methods.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Skills &amp; Competencies</h2><ul><li>Strong manual dexterity and visual acuity.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Willingness to learn and follow established processes.</li><li>Good communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Commitment to producing high-quality, reliable products.</li></ul>#DGO  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
