This position is responsible for database design, installation, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and controlling access to sensitive financial records. In addition, this position will assist in the overall workload of the FP&amp;A team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul> <li>Assist in the development and implementation of financial database and related policies and procedures</li> <li>Monitor the security of SCS's financial assets</li> <li>Lead the implementation of new software for financial data</li> <li>Establish and monitor adequate internal controls</li> <li>Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries to ensure fast, reliable access to financial data</li> <li>Install, configure, and upgrade database software</li> <li>Implement strict security measures to protect sensitive financial information</li> <li>Manage data migration and integrate new applications with existing financial systems</li> <li>Ensure data management practices meet industry standards and legal regulations</li> <li>Work closely with finance and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and alignment with organizational goals</li> <li>Assist the FP&amp;A team with the workload within the FP&amp;A group</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and</li> <li>7+ years of experience in database administration, preferably in a professional services organization and</li> <li>7+ years of experience in administering and supporting financial systems (e.g., EPM systems, budgeting/financial reporting tools)</li> <li>Experience with specific financial systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle EPM (Essbase), or equivalent)</li> <li>Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles</li> <li>Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously</li> <li>Desire and ability to interact and collaborate effectively with a variety of people across diverse internal groups, teams, divisions, and cultures</li> <li>Ability to think critically, produce high-quality work, and adapt well to organizational changes</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook</li> <li>Initiative, good judgment, and ability to work independently; responsive and adaptive</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul> <li>Master's Degree in a relevant field</li> <li>Experience with SQL or other database query languages</li> <li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA)</li></ul>The above description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
