Construction Manager Solar

We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring. Summary:The Construction Manager shall develop relationships with key stakeholders and support Project Managers to deliver excellence for our clients on our projects. The Construction Manager will be accountable to the Project Manager and will support the Project Superintendent at site in driving the overall construction of the project from Start to Substantial Completion according to plan.  This position is primarily a management role focused on overseeing project execution, stakeholder relationships, and team leadership. While the Construction Manager collaborates closely with site operations and supports the Project Superintendent, the core responsibilities are centered on management, planning, compliance, and client interface as support to the Project Manager, rather than direct operational or hands-on site work. Requirements:<ul><li>HSQE:<ul><li>Leads safety meetings and All Hands meetings, as required.</li><li>Conducts analysis on HSE compliance shortfalls and explains findings.</li><li>Pro-actively manages site quality management plan with Quality team.  </li><li>Accountable for implementation of Inspection and Test Plan at site.</li><li>Collaborates with the Quality team to compile the project Lessons Learned.</li><li>Ensures the project Job Books are complete and meet the Client and RES’ internal requirements.</li><li>Ensures that Environmental permit requirements are adhered to at site. </li><li>Fosters a culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Ensures that the project is utilizing Safety Management Systems (SMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and technical procedures.</li></ul></li><li>Client Relationship Management:<ul><li>Provides excellence in the management and delivery of the project in line with the client’s expectations.</li><li>Strengthens and continually maintains the client relationship.</li><li>In absence of Project Manager, acts as first point of contact for Client Representatives on site.</li></ul></li><li>Planning:<ul><li>Assists with managing the project plan and participates in kick-off and close-out meetings.</li><li>Manages project-required construction permits as a prerequisite for project inception.</li><li>Assists with allocating budget, costs to date, forecasts cost to completion for labor and equipment, procurement, and materials management.</li><li>Assists in prioritizing and managing the execution tasks based on the project execution plan and delivery objectives.</li><li>Actively participates in the weekly execution discussions (PSRs) with the Project Manager and the site management team.</li><li>Participates in the development of the project Level 3 schedule.</li><li>Reviews and provides feedback on the 3-week look ahead schedule to the Project Superintendent and the Operations team.</li><li>Approves project schedules updates.</li><li>Manages purchases of project-related materials and tools as per the approved DOA.</li><li>Approves invoices for services and goods certifying that these have been received.</li><li>Accountable for obtaining timely response and closeout of site generated Requests for Information (RFIs) by engineering and client throughout the construction phase of the project.</li></ul></li><li>Budget:<ul><li>Analyzes the EAC assessment in relation to labor and equipment and gets involved in discussions to identify opportunities and highlight gaps in costs to ensure conformity to budget and project execution plan (including assumptions).</li><li>Knows the assumptions and drivers of the control budget and proposes means to manage and improve.</li></ul></li><li>Contract:<ul><li>Maintains a complete understanding of all contractual obligations for the project and documentation of variances.</li><li>Understands the notification requirements to assist Project Manager and Project Controls to raise client notifications on a timely basis.</li><li>Collaborates with Project Controls to develop Change orders.    </li><li>Understands the contractual requirements for change approval.</li><li>Provides all supporting documents at site for Client driven changes beyond RES control.</li></ul></li><li>Subcontracts:<ul><li>Works with Project Manager and Procurement teams to generate and negotiate Scope of Work definition and special terms and conditions for subcontracts.</li><li>Has a deep understanding of all subcontracts, including terms and conditions, scope of work, schedule, deliverables, rules of credit for progress, payments, and completion requirements.</li><li>Accountable for managing the subcontractors’ performance on site and obtaining their status updates and progress reports in a timely manner. </li><li>Collaborates with Project Controls in the subcontractors’ commercial management.</li><li>Reviews and approves vendor and subcontractor invoices, ensuring alignment with progress according to the Purchase Order or Subcontract terms.</li></ul></li><li>Reporting:<ul><li>Oversees the daily tracking of work completed and decision-making for actions required to meet the schedule.</li><li>Verifies the accuracy of daily status and progress reports of construction on site.</li><li>Manages weekly status and progress reports of construction on site.</li><li>Oversees the weekly updates on the project schedule  based on client requests as needed. </li><li>Works closely with vendors to obtain status updates on procuring materials and deliveries.  </li><li>Assists with applying for building and utility permits and follows up with jurisdictions’ regarding inspections to maintain compliance.  </li><li>Creates the weekly and monthly reports sent to company management and the client.  </li></ul></li><li>Operates a company vehicle in a safe manner in all types of conditions.</li><li>Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.</li><li>Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies &amp; Procedures.</li><li>Directs, guides, and coaches Project and Field Engineers to ensure site activities are understood and follow established processes through quality checks.</li><li>Follows processes for systems and communication lines on site and ensures implementation is consistent.</li><li>Communicates and disseminates effectively to internal and external stakeholders the up to-date information and seeks feedback, with guidance.</li><li>Oversees the RFI Process.</li><li>Oversees the Materials Management as well as the Procurement &amp; Subcontractors management at site.</li><li>Directs, guides, and coaches Project and Field Engineers to ensure site activities are understood and follow established processes through quality checks.</li><li>Follows
