As part of AECOM’s continued growth and success in the municipal water market, we are actively seeking a strong Civil Technologist to complete both on-site field inspection and CAD design for municipal drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is based in AECOM’s London office and requires regular travel to construction sites in southwestern Ontario.The responsibilities of this new position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Conduct reviews and inspections of installed construction works to monitor conformance with quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements.</li><li>Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records (notes, photographs, redline drawings, material quantities, etc.).</li><li>Work with the project manager, contract administrator, and engineers for the successful implementation of the design.  </li><li>Liaison on site with the contractor, client, operations staff, and approval authorities.</li><li>Coordinate inspection needs and construction schedules, including arranging for third-party inspections.</li><li>Participate in testing, start-up and commissioning activities.</li><li>Develop, maintain and update master deficiency list tracking correction of deficient work.</li><li>Assist in contract administration of the project including arranging for shop drawing review and RFI response, draft request for quotations and change orders, reviewing payment certificates, etc.</li><li>Prepare engineering drawings and designs for drinking water and wastewater infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit.</li><li>Coordinate drawings and design inputs with project managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure standards and deadlines are met.</li><li>Support quality control processes and promptly flag engineering issues to the project manager.</li></ul>
