AECOM is seeking an experienced Engineer - Material for a major Roads and Infrastructure and bridges projects located in Dubai. The role involves both inspection and the supervision of Roads and Infrastructure works of the project and to ensure that the activities are being executed in accordance with the project specification.Job Duties<ul><li>Review and Approval of the Contractor’s proposed materials and methods as delegated by the Resident Engineer.</li><li>Preparation of Material Engineer’s Daily Diary.</li><li>General oversight of the Contractor’s daily activities including works assignments, on-site performance and guidance on the supervision of the Contractor’s operations.</li><li>Attend factory visits, suppliers plant inspection as required</li><li>Follow up testing and approvals from the relevant authorities</li><li>Review of Contractor’s testing requests and subsequent completed reports.</li><li>Review and Approval of the Contractor’s Submissions as delegated by the Resident Engineer.</li><li>Monitoring the performance of the material delivery and accuracy of materials used at site</li><li>Coordination with Contractor’s supervisory personnel regarding schedule, sequence and method of work.</li><li>Monitoring conformance with the Contractor’s schedule.</li><li>Continuous Field Inspections of the work in the progress and consultation with both the Resident Engineer’s and Contractor’s supervisory staff.</li><li>Preparation of written and oral reports to the Resident Engineer on contractual and procedural matters.</li></ul>Qualification<ul><li>Relevant BSc Degree from a recognized University</li><li>Must be a holder of Dubai Central Laboratory approval</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Work experience of not less than 10years in design, construction and supervision of roads, bridges and infrastructure</li><li>He must also have a full knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the Emirates of Dubai</li><li>Extensive knowledge and experience in the conduct of quality inspections with hands on experience of ISO9000 quality systems</li></ul>
