We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Ignitis Latvia team, where you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of accounting team and ensure that accurate financial and management accounts are produced. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!  You can find the job advertisement in Latvian here: https://smrtr.io/xpHQJTake YOUR part in #EnergySmart!  You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:<ul><li>Monitoring changes in tax and accounting regulations and their implementation in the Group of the companies, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards </li><li>Managing all accounting processes by organizing and keeping 12 companies accounting records </li><li>Creating accounting policy and its development as well as conduct credit control and tax policy</li><li>Supervising daily accounting operations, in particular bookkeeping, control of payments and invoices, and settlement of costs and revenues  </li><li>Preparing reports for the Group, including monthly results</li><li>Keeping close communication with external auditors and tax advisors, including preparation of materials and participation in a financial audit  </li><li>Advising the management board on financial and accounting issues and participate in strategic planning and decisions regarding investments and company development  </li><li>Managing the internal accounting team  </li><li>Identifying the areas for improvement and implement more effective accounting procedures, including the use of technology to automate processes</li></ul>
