Job Overview The Driver is a key Logistics role within TerraCycle Regulated Waste. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. This position requires the safe operation of a straight truck. Drivers must hold a valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Drivers operating vehicles with trailers must hold a valid Class C CDL. A HazMat endorsement is required. Daily routes and assignments are scheduled by the Logistics Manager and communicated prior to departure. Drivers typically depart from the TCRW facility in the morning, complete scheduled pickups, and return daily to the Aurora facility to unload, receive and stage materials. Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Load trucks with appropriate materials, supplies, and handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, drum dollies) on a daily basis</li><li>Safely operate company vehicles while traveling to and from customer sites</li><li>Interact professionally and courteously with customers and clients with the expectation that you are knowledgeable about our services and have the ability to upsell / pass out sales collateral at each stop.</li><li>Accurately complete required shipping documentation, including manifests and bills of lading</li><li>Safely unload trucks upon daily return to the facility</li><li>Receive materials in the warehouse, keep Universal waste storage area organized, compliant and always DOT and EPA inspection ready.</li><li>Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and work boots; company shirts are provided after 90 days of employment</li><li>Perform daily vehicle inspections prior to departure and submit inspection reports to the Logistics Manager</li><li>Comply with random drug testing requirements as mandated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)</li><li>Follow all DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and safety</li><li>Ability to flex into the Waste-In or Fulfillment functions as needed.</li></ul>Requirements Desired Qualifications<ul><li>Class C, CDL (minimal) required</li><li>Hazmat Endorsement</li><li>1–2 years of experience operating a straight truck preferred</li><li>Forklift Certified</li><li>Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and leadership</li><li>Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Hourly position with annual incentive</li><li>Generous paid time off</li><li>Company subsidized medical and insurance plan</li><li>Company matched 401(k) contributions</li></ul>TerraCycle is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.  Note: International candidates must be eligible to work in their country of employment.  At this time TerraCycle does not provide for visa sponsorships.
