PMC is accountable for the development, design, construction, and commissioning of new generating facilities.Within PMC, Senior I&amp;C Engineer is responsible for technical management of all phases of project planning and execution to ensure project success factors are met.  These include but are not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. The senior I&amp;C engineer will manage the DCS purchase, design and commissioning of the control system for each project.  This position provides technical leadership and management for a matrixed team of engineers and other technical staff.ResponsibilitiesThe I&amp;C Engineer works as a member of the project team to support all phases of major projects, from initial project scoping and development to final project close-out.  These responsibilities include:<ul><li>Support development phase of major project scope and EPC bid package.</li><li>Support development with Transmission for interconnection design and ensure project contract documentation aligns with interconnection scope.</li><li>Support cost estimate, schedule, risk analysis, bid evaluation and contract development. </li><li>Provide engineering oversight to ensure compliance with project requirements, contract, and design criteria.</li><li>Participate in design reviews, drawing reviews, construction support, resolution of technical RFIs, commissioning support and project warranty support.</li><li>Specifying and procuring Emerson DCS equipment. Developing and reviewing the control logic and graphics. Leading the hardware and software factory acceptance testing.</li><li>Provide oversight for the construction and programming of the site controls and cyber security assets.</li><li>Working knowledge of Cyber Security and NERC CIP regulations</li><li>Maintain compliance with applicable industry standards (ISA, IEEE, NFPA, NERC, etc.)</li><li>On-site engineering support for construction and commissioning of projects. </li><li>Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems of increasing scope and complexity in both inside as well as outside the scope of typical responsibility.</li><li>Assists in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities under the guidance of higher-level employees.</li><li>Possesses and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures; proficient in technical and analytical competencies necessary to handle assignments of increasing complexity.</li><li>Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files.</li><li>Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities; decisions may affect the operations or results of the work group and may have some impact on major projects or department results.</li><li>Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches related to defined problems and analysis of increasing scope and complexity.</li><li>Conducts engineering and related studies; completes non-routine engineering projects with minimal oversight with the ability to independently manage project schedules and interfaces; competent to design, operate and maintain systems with moderate impact on existing systems.</li></ul>Basic / Required Qualifications <ul><li>Must have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or PE </li><li>Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer. </li><li>A master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree </li></ul>Desired Qualifications <ul><li>Strong working knowledge Emerson Ovation control system and Allen – Bradley PLCs</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental engineering theories and principles.</li><li>Knowledge of researching engineering and design issues, assessing options, and giving effective recommendations and presentations.</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam and desire to complete PE license.</li></ul>Working Conditions Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
