<div>Talen Energy is soliciting candidates interested in filling the position of Licensing Engineer at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station located near Berwick, Pennsylvania.  </div><div>Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, one of the largest dual-unit, Boiling Water Reactor sites in the U.S., delivers approximately 2700 MW of electricity to the grid in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Susquehanna Nuclear is a member in good standing with the Utilities Service Alliance.  Located less than 30 miles south of Wilkes-Barre at the western edge of the picturesque Pocono Mountains vacation region, we are conveniently located near the arteries which connect all the major East Coast cities. Susquehanna Station represents the nuclear portion of Talen Energy, one of the largest competitive energy and power generation companies in North America.  Talen Energy offers its employees a generous and progressive array of compensation, benefits and growth opportunities.  Apply today and become part of the team which is helping to shape the future of electricity generation.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Evaluates, plans, and conducts engineering assignments. </li><li>Works alone or as part of a project team.  </li><li>Leads engineers, technicians, analysts or others within the work group or cross-functional team as required by job assignment.</li><li>Prepares more complex engineering assignments, alone or as part of a team. </li><li>Ensures problems are being identified and resolved. </li><li>Reviews design documentation to determine compliance with Licensing basis criteria or standards. </li><li>Schedules work to meet completion dates, station need and technical specifications. </li><li>Works independently with minimal guidance in a variety of engineering functions which may include activities such as development of License Amendment Requests, licensee response to NRC requests, and review of station conditions for applicable reporting requirements.</li><li>Provides functional support for various regulatory programs and areas, such as 10 CFR 50.59, commitment management, reporting, etc. Provides effective regulatory advice and interpretations of Licensing documents, e.g. Technical Specifications, 50.59 requirements, Inspection Procedures.</li><li>Interact with NRC personnel on inspections, regulatory issues, pending NRC actions, and potential inspection findings. </li><li>Communicates issues and results to NRA leadership and impacted organizations.</li><li>Supports the Corrective Action Program by participating in screening team and condition reviews for reporting or potential regulatory impacts.   </li><li>May represent Talen Energy in industry regulatory activities including interaction with external organizations.</li><li>Candidates must meet the basic qualifications of one of the following qualification groups to receive consideration.</li></ul>Basic Qualifications Engineer<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, engineering technology, or other related science discipline from a college or university accredited by ABET, or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.</li></ul>Support Engineer<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, engineering technology, or other related science discipline from a college or university accredited by ABET, or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 2 years related engineering experience.</li></ul>Senior Engineer<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, engineering technology, or other related science discipline from a college or university accredited by ABET, or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ related engineering experience.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Engineer in Training Certificate.</li><li>Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for the specific position.</li><li>Professional Engineering registration in Pennsylvania </li><li>Knowledge of emerging AI technologies and experience to assist in validation, verification, and testing of potential applications in the nuclear field.</li></ul></div>Note: You will have an opportunity to add attachments to your application.
