<h2>Overview</h2>We are designing the Grid of the futureEPE is in search of a highly skilled Senior Engineer with a background in Transmission Planning studies. In this role you will work closely with senior leadership to support our growth strategy and provide subject matter expertise both internally through coaching and developing staff as well as externally to our clients. <h2>Responsibilities</h2>How you can make an impact:<ul> <li>Perform high-level bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSS/e, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.</li> <li>Ensure timely completion of assigned projects while meeting all quality and budget objectives.</li> <li>Interact with clients to seek input and address their needs and concerns regarding the project(s) under study.</li> <li>Lead and mentor electrical engineers in performing power system steady state, short circuit, and dynamic &amp; transient stability analyses.</li> <li>Conduct advanced and specialized studies of the power grid, such as Sub-synchronous Resonance studies.</li> <li>Develop mitigation plans for identified constraints and system issues.</li> <li>Review and develop transmission planning study methodologies and processes.</li> <li>Lead process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency.</li> <li>Support business development activities.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here what’s needed:<ul> <li>5+ years professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer.</li> <li>Experience performing power system impact studies such as Dynamic Stability, Load Flow, Steady State, Short Circuit </li> <li>Experience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.</li> <li>Experience automating/programing in Python</li> <li>Proven team player skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.</li> <li>Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters.</li> <li>Demonstrates a strong commitment to producing high-quality report and deliverables, taking full ownership and pride in work</li></ul> Lead the change!  Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.  For more than half a century, Electric Power Engineers (EPE) has partnered with power and energy clients across the globe providing consulting expertise and energy intelligence software solutions for complex engineering and grid modeling challenges.
