AECOM is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Traction Power Project Engineer to join our dedicated team in Philadelphia, PA. This position will be directly involved with the design and analysis of DC or AC traction power systems for railways, light rail transit (LRT), or other electrified transportation networks.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist senior engineers in the design and analysis of traction power distribution systems, including substations, overhead catenary systems (OCS), and third rail systems.</li><li>Support the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).</li><li>Perform calculations related to voltage drop, current flow, and power system performance.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.</li><li>Conduct field inspections and site visits to gather data and observe construction activities.</li><li>Assist in the testing and commissioning of traction power equipment.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.</li><li>Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., NESC, IEEE).</li><li>Maintain accurate project records and documentation.</li></ul>
