<div>As a Mechanical Engineer in the Research and Development Team, you'll take responsibility for leading component/product development from concept through to mass production. What you’ll do<ul><li>Mechanical design and development: <ul><li>Collaborate with project team engineers to design and develop mechanical solutions for VanMoof’s products that meet certifications and engineering specifications. From design concept to mass production.</li><li>Create CAD models, drawings, and BOM management, use best practices for ensuring CAD completeness and compatibility, and support the release process in the PLM (product life management) system.</li></ul></li><li>Specifications research, Validation &amp; Root Cause Analysis: Assist in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.</li><li>Documentation and Communication: Contribute to clear and comprehensive documentation of mechanical designs, implementation details, and test procedures. Communicate effectively with team members to share knowledge and findings.</li><li>Collaboration with External Partners: Work closely with JDMs (Joint Development Manufacturers), OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), key suppliers, and CMs (Contract Manufacturers) to ensure part compliance. Ensure that system assembly and test fixtures are reliable and efficient.</li><li>Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sourcing, quality engineers, and the product improvement team in later development stages to bring products to mass production.</li><li>Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
