Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Global Category Manager, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will develop and execute the global category strategy across mobile Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), diesel and gas mobile generators, and associated technologies.Power without pause. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.What you’ll do as a Global Category Manager:<ul><li>Develop and execute a global category strategy across mobile power generation and energy storage technologies, ensuring alignment with business, product and sustainability objectives.</li><li>Lead direct and indirect procurement activities for the category, including supplier selection, approval and onboarding to support both existing products and new product introductions.</li><li>Drive procurement savings and value creation through supplier rationalisation, pricing strategies, cost control initiatives and structured sourcing programmes.</li><li>Undertake detailed spend, consumption and market analysis across assigned categories to identify cost-saving opportunities, supply risks and optimisation levers.</li><li>Partner closely with Engineering / Product Management (at global and regional level) to support new product implementation, ensuring suppliers are technically capable, scalable and aligned to product roadmaps.</li><li>Lead and deliver sustainable cost reduction initiatives with key global suppliers, balancing cost, quality, innovation and security of supply.</li><li>Ensure full contractual, commercial and legal compliance, holding suppliers accountable to agreed terms and performance standards.</li></ul>What you'll bring:<ul><li>Proven experience in category management or strategic procurement within the energy sector, power generation or renewable energy.</li><li>A technical background or strong technical understanding, ideally gained through engineering, technical procurement, or working closely with product and engineering teams.</li><li>A strong track record of delivering measurable, sustainable procurement savings and supplier-led value creation at a global or multi-region level.</li><li>Experience leading supplier rationalisation, consolidation and strategic sourcing initiatives within complex supply chains.</li><li>Confidence working with and influencing senior stakeholders, balancing technical, commercial and operational requirements.</li><li>Strong analytical capability, with experience in spend analysis, market assessment and lifecycle cost modelling.</li></ul>Here’s what you’ll get:<ul><li>30 vacation days for a balanced work-life</li><li>Annual bonus in addition to salary</li><li>Company pension scheme with a 9% employer contribution</li><li>Exclusive employee discounts and referral bonuses</li><li>A dynamic, international environment with real development opportunities</li></ul>Our people are can-do, positive, resilient and persistent.
