This position is responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues, developing and implementing innovative, data-driven solutions, and independently troubleshooting complex system challenges. The role requires a proactive, analytical mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational optimization. Supported by a collaborative team that provides technical guidance and mentorship, the engineer operates within an environment that encourages ongoing learning, professional development, and long-term career growth while advancing the performance and reliability of solar and energy storage systems.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Associate, Operations Engineering will be responsible for maintaining reliability and performance for a fleet of standalone PV, BESS and PV+BESS assets throughout the USA. The role will be part of the Operations Engineering team. At a high level, this person will be responsible for:<ul><li>Act as technical lead in identifying and driving performance improvement opportunities via:<ul><li>Technical Management of Solar and BESS assets</li><li>Technical optimization analyses of asset portfolios</li><li>Develop, implement, and improve methods for detecting, reporting, and analyzing performance issues.</li></ul></li><li>Maximizing performance of assets through analytics and engineering.</li><li>Reviewing technical documents and acceptance test during the project handover process.</li><li>Remotely diagnose electrical faults in equipment such as inverters, trackers, and transformers, then coordinate with field technicians to ensure swift and effective resolution.</li><li>Develop and support maintenance strategies to optimize performance of renewable assets and identify areas of underperformance, drive improvements and corrective actions via management of third-party contractors.</li><li>Work with internal maintenance engineering team in developing effective spare parts management program.</li><li>Continuously evaluate software systems, processes, procedures and drive improvement within the performance and operational engineering teams to support Arevon’s growth.</li><li>Serve as the key technical resource for on-site technicians and manage relationships with equipment manufacturers for warranty claims and advanced technical support.</li><li>Coordinating with internal and external engineering and construction teams on project substantial completion testing and verifying or running capacity tests.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in operations and maintenance of utility scale solar and BESS systems.</li><li>Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline is required.</li><li>Proficient in using CMMS system to create, manage, and track all work orders for corrective and preventive maintenance. and be able to analyze equipment failure history and report on key maintenance metrics to inform operational strategy.</li><li>Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of power plant components, including inverters, trackers, transformers, and medium-voltage (MV) systems.</li><li>Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.</li><li>Proficient in MS Office Productivity tools such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Power BI, Planner and Lists etc.</li></ul>Why Join Arevon?
