You will support your respective region by executing HR processes and practices, handling administrative tasks, and providing support for assigned client groups regarding the interpretation of HR processes, employee relations, and legal adherence.Job Duties<ul><li>Update and maintain employee records and HR databases (Workday), ensuring employee profiles are accurate and up to date.</li><li>Prepare and process documentation for all employees in accordance with company policies and procedures.</li><li>Generate and summarize assigned reports including new hire/termination reports, employee details, and other ad-hoc Workday reports.</li><li>Prepare employee verification letters and job change letters as requested.</li><li>Assist in the acquisition process through onboarding and training support.</li><li>Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and resolve minor HR issues.</li><li>Participate in site-level initiatives and reporting activities to understand and improve employee engagement and retention.</li><li>Conduct and follow up on exit interviews to help reduce employee turnover.</li><li>Advise managers on the basic interpretation and administration of HR policies, programs, and procedures, including benefits and RRSP/DPSP guidance.</li><li>Maintain the Discipline Tracker and follow up with management regarding outstanding or unsigned discipline letters.</li><li>Support operations with internal employee changes and prepare documentation as per the offer letter matrix.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare Averaging Agreements/Arrangements in accordance with provincial Employment Standards, ensuring work rules align in Workday and Agile.</li></ul><ul><li>Support operations with the preparation and documentation of Employee Repayment Agreements.</li><li>Draft assigned documentation and conduct employee file audits as requested.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all applicable provincial laws, regulations, company policies, and management directives.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field of study.</li><li>Systems Expertise: Must have 1+ years of hands-on experience in Workday. Ability to navigate employee profiles, initiate lifecycle transactions, and maintain data integrity is critical.</li><li>Employee Relations: Proven experience supporting employee relations matters, including interpreting policies and providing guidance to employees and supervisors.</li><li>Operational Background: Experience working in a fast-paced, industrial / operational environment (Long-haul trucking or logistics experience is a significant asset).</li><li>HR Administration: Skilled in drafting professional employment documentation, including offer letters, confirmation of employment, and contract amendments using established templates.</li><li>Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of provincial Employment Standards Acts (ESA) and how they apply to daily HR operations.</li><li>Union Exposure: Basic understanding of working within a unionized environment and the ability to interpret collective agreements is preferred.</li><li>Specialized Support: Exposure to or a willingness to learn WSIB/disability management and immigration-related administrative filings</li><li>Travel: Ability to travel as required (approximately 10%).</li></ul>Portfolio Complexity &amp; Self-Leadership<ul><li>Demonstrated good judgment and a strong willingness to learn through assigned opportunities and professional conduct.</li></ul>  We thank you for your interest.
