AECOM is seeking a talented Deputy Project Manager - Transit &amp; Rail to join our Mississauga, ON office.This is a newly created role. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Provide project coordination and control, as well as review designs and construction of infrastructure projects proposed by outside companies and government agencies on or near railway property, on behalf of our clients (Railways), to ensure compliance with Railway Standards</li><li>Acts as liaison between Third Party applicants and the Railway</li><li>Deputy Project Manager for transportation/rail projects, including freight-rail and transit-rail</li><li>Support project managers with routine and non-routine tasks</li><li>Typical duties will include:<ul><li>Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings</li><li>Monitor project costs and budgets</li><li>Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports</li><li>Review documents (drawings, reports, contractor shop drawings, etc.)</li><li>Acts as liaison between Third Party applicants and the Railway;</li><li>Set up new projects and track monthly billing</li><li>Prepare project schedules and monitor the progress of work</li><li>Review and compile client submittals</li><li>Write technical specifications and bid documents</li><li>NAPT submissions and RCAC coordination</li></ul></li><li>Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer</li><li> Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems</li><li>Performs work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision</li></ul>
