We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location. This position is Hybrid in San Diego, CA (Rancho Bernardo) minimum of three days per week in office.  Scope of Job: The Lead Sr. Financial Planning Analyst, is responsible for the planning and analysis of North America forecasts and budgets and their related financial statements. Additionally, the Lead will be responsible for on-going training and peer review of fellow Financial Planning team member(s). The responsibility is specific to EDF Renouvelables Group’s management cycle: reforecast, budget, capex, headcount and landing files. Aside from the on-going planning and analysis tasks, the Lead Sr. Financial Planning Analyst will provide planning support to the project leaders for their respective business segments, and Canada/Mexico CFG staff.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Leads the consolidated reforecast, budget, and landings process for the respective business segments that are assigned.</li> <li>Performs reforecast /budget Vs Actual analysis and provides commentaries to help management make the best decisions.</li> <li>Provides peer review and feedback on workpapers and schedules completed by fellow Financial Planning team member(s).</li> <li>Provides peer training and assistance to fellow Financial Planning team member(s) with the focus of developing them into their role.</li> <li>Prepares and issues the Consolidated North America Management Reports for managers of the assigned segments.</li> <li>Validates segment package loads in BOFC (reforecast and budget) consolidation software for the reforecast budget process</li> <li>Assists in the compilation and reporting or either MWs installed and Under Construction reporting, or Pipeline Reporting. Distributes and validates any concerns arising for the business and EDF Power Solutions Paris.</li> <li>Imports excel budget templates into BOFC for North America</li> <li>Leads the clearing of controls and intercompany balancing inside North America BOFC LE2 and budget packages</li> <li>Provides ad-hoc reporting and analysis including ROI/ROCE, Generation Production breakout, O&amp;M ratios reporting, etc.</li> <li>Prepares for and contributes to training sessions of budget planning templates preparation</li> <li>Other Duties as assigned <ul> <li>Lead the consolidated reforecast, budget, and landings process for the respective business segments that are assigned</li> </ul></li></ul><h3>Supervision of Others: </h3>No direct reports, but dotted line to assist with guiding the work for financial planning team members.Working Conditions: 95% of time is spent in the office environment utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings. <h2>Fiscal Responsibilities:</h2>Responsible for raising awareness to manager regarding significant budget / forecast overruns.<h2>Qualifications</h2>Education/Experience – <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred.</li> <li>Typically requires 7-9 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, ideally in financial reporting and analysis, and/ or budgeting/planning role.</li> <li>Senior Financial Analyst experience preferred.</li></ul>Skills/Knowledge/Abilities – <ul> <li>Multicurrency Reporting</li> <li>Confident in reporting in an international environment with familiarity of GAAP vs. IFRS reporting</li> <li>Able to demonstrate good understanding of accounting and some understanding of consolidation rules.</li> <li>Word, Excel and PowerPoint advanced knowledge required.</li> <li>Familiarity with Power BI and Tableau a plus!</li> <li>Big picture thinker with analytical review skills</li> <li>Ability to work with and communicate clearly with all levels across the organization.</li> <li>Rigorous and ability to improve internal processes.</li> <li>Ability to cope with tight deadlines and work in a stressful environment.</li> <li>Team player who coordinates with other team members / business leaders</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate that he/she is highly motivated and a self-starter.</li> <li>Ability to balance multiple projects and assignments on time that are of a high quality.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills</li> <li>High standards, integrity, and ethics</li></ul>Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand at computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading.
