Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing and Sales, locally and internationally, you will act as a technical advisory and problem‑solver across the business<h2>What you will do</h2><ul><li>Lead the design and development of mechanical products from concept through to commercial release</li><li>Take ownership of innovation projects, managing design activities and delivering outcomes</li><li>Develop detailed 3D designs and prototypes using engineering software (Creo preferred)</li><li>Apply deep knowledge of plastics, polymers and injection moulding to create robust, manufacturable designs</li><li>Conduct and support product testing and validation using test facilities</li><li>Identify, troubleshoot and resolve design‑related operational issues</li><li>Support tooling and moulding activities in collaboration with manufacturing teams</li><li>Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Quality and Production</li><li>Ensure products and processes align with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and ISO 14001 standards  </li></ul>About you You are a driven, technically capable engineer who enjoys turning ideas into tangible, high‑performing products. You are comfortable taking initiative, working autonomously and working collaboratively in a team environment.   You will bring:<ul><li>A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related discipline</li><li>A strong Mechanical or Production Engineering background</li><li>Demonstrated experience in hands‑on product development and mechanical product design</li><li>Practical experience designing plastic, building products and brass components (advantageous)</li><li>Strong understanding of plastics materials, polymers and injection moulding processes (highly regarded)</li><li>Experience with plumbing, irrigation, building or construction products (highly regarded)</li><li>Proficiency with 3D CAD software, ideally Creo</li><li>A proven ability to analayse problems, think creatively and deliver practical solutions</li><li>Excellent communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders</li><li>A proactive mindset with the drive to innovate, challenge ideas and continuously improve</li><li>Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident as no sponsorship will be provided.  </li></ul>Why join us?
