The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving territory growth objectives, maximizing annual sales and profitability, and developing and executing strategic sales plans in coordination with local distributor partners.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for direct sales and distribution channel sales of Sensus products and solutions within the assigned South Florida territory.</li><li>Develop new customer relationships and identify growth opportunities within municipal, contractor, and distributor channels, with a strong emphasis on new name account acquisition.</li><li>Manage and grow existing customer accounts to optimize sales performance and long-term profitability.</li><li>Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, customer engagement, product presentations, demonstrations, pricing, quotations, and closing activities.</li><li>Provide technical and administrative product support to customers, prospects, and channel partners.</li><li>Develop and implement territory sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.</li><li>Coordinate and support local distributor channel activities to maximize market coverage and sales effectiveness.</li><li>Maintain detailed market and customer knowledge to identify trends, competitive activity, and new business opportunities.</li><li>Utilize Salesforce.com and Microsoft Windows-based applications to manage customer activity, sales opportunities, and reporting.</li><li>Travel regularly throughout the territory, including overnight travel as needed.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in technical, complex, or solution-based products.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to understand technical aspects of water measurement, including electronic instrumentation and AMI networks.</li><li>Experience selling into municipal, contractor, or distributor markets preferred, particularly with metering and AMI products.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications and Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms.</li><li>Ability to travel up to 50%.</li><li>Must reside within the South Florida territory.</li></ul>Preferred Attributes:<ul><li>Proven success in new business development and territory growth.</li><li>Ability to work effectively across direct and indirect sales channels.</li><li>Strong presentation and product demonstration skills.</li><li>Results-oriented with the ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.</li><li>Bilingual communications skills (English/Spanish)</li></ul>Xylem does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.#LI-TM1Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
