The Asset Recovery Collector will be detail-oriented, dependable, productive, and have strong work ethics and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex account balances, resolve discrepancies, and secure payment arrangements. The Asset Recovery Collector plays a crucial role in supporting internal operations by reducing delinquency, improving cash flow, and ensuring accounts are worked in alignment with company standards and recovery goals.<ul><li>This role is located in Houston, TX | Compensation: $19-$21 (+ $1 if  bilingual) | Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week (Call Center hours Monday- Thursday 8:00am to 7:00pm, Fridays 8:00am to 6:00pm)</li><li>No Weekends</li></ul><ul><li>40 hours per week with a structured 2 week training schedule (Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm, 100% onsite during training)</li></ul> Key Responsibilities Include: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Communicate with customers via inbound/outbound phone calls. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Manage assigned accounts and plan course of action to recover outstanding debts. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Update account status and database regularly </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Validation of customer information including addresses, contact information, and right party authentication steps. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Review terms of sales and agreement documents and explain them to customers to increase customer understanding of contract obligations.  </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Adhere to FDCPA, state and federal laws and regulations. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Comply with policies and procedures as required. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Locate customers using skip trace sites, internet, and credit bureau! </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Work from multiple servicing platforms to investigate and resolve discrepancies. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Communicate effectively with internal and external partners. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.</li></ul> Requirements:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">High School diploma or GED required. </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Minimum 2 years collections experience.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Computer/Technical knowledge to change, add, or delete information in servicing platform </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently in the best interest of the company and customer </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">FDCPA Regulations </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Critical thinking skills</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Basic understanding of consumer agreement documents </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute free of grammatical errors </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Strong math skills </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Partner well with teammates and other departments </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Ability to work unsupervised after the initial training phase </li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Bilingual in Spanish is a plus</li></ul> Desirable Skills:<ul style="margin-bottom:11px;"><li style="margin-left:8px;">Good attendance</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Ability to adapt to changes</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Customer Service</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px;">Problem Solving</li></ul> EDUCATION A high school diploma is required for this role.
