Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Prepares and enters journal entries</li><li>Records and verifies cost of goods sold percentages, percentage of cost completion and cost type fee rates in support of month end close procedures. This requires coordination of EAC submission with Program Control group.  </li><li>Reviews ASC 606 checklist and works with the Contracts department to resolve any issues delaying revenue recognition determination. Works with Teledyne Corporate to get guidance pertaining to unusual contract terms and conditions as necessary.</li><li>Assists with review of monthly account reconciliations.</li><li>Coordinates and reviews quarterly variance explanations for income statement and balance sheet.</li><li>Supports activities in the preparation of annual surveys from corporate offices.</li><li>Supports preparation and submission of quarterly and annual audit and tax packs.</li><li>Interacts with internal and external auditors in support of SOX and other audits.</li><li>Assists, as required, in special projects to improve overall efficiency, eliminating process waste and improving company profitability.</li><li>Availability for occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Competences<ul><li>Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition</li><li>Understanding of GAAP and corporate guidelines as they apply to Accounting transactions</li><li>Strong understanding of financial statements and reports</li><li>Familiar with FAR and CAS regulations a plus  </li><li>Helps maintain SOX narratives</li></ul>Education and/or Experience<ul><li>Bachelor in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field, with at least five (5) years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility over time</li><li>Experience with Government Accounting a plus</li><li>Experience using Deltek CostPoint, TM1, and OneStream a plus</li></ul>Citizenship RequirementsDue to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.     What We Offer:<ul><li>Competitive Salary &amp; Benefits Package</li><li>Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance from Day 1</li><li>Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays</li><li>401(k) with Company Match</li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan</li><li>Educational Tuition Reimbursement</li><li>Fun Employee Events throughout the year</li></ul>Why Teledyne?
