The candidate must have extensive experience in site engineering, civil works supervision, and compliance management, particularly in the power and energy sector, to ensure effective implementation of Occupational Health &amp; Safety (OHS), Fire Safety, and Security protocols at the site level.<ul><li>Supervise and execute all civil engineering work at the site in accordance with project specifications and timelines.</li><li>Implement and enforce Security protocols to safeguard personnel, equipment, and materials on-site.</li><li>Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.</li><li>Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure work progresses as per design and safety guidelines.</li><li>Maintain daily site records, prepare progress reports, and submit compliance documentation.</li><li>Ensure strict compliance with Occupational Health &amp; Safety standards and promote a safety-first culture.</li><li>Oversee and monitor Fire Safety measures, ensuring systems are in place, tested, and maintained.</li><li>Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective/preventive measures.</li></ul>With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.Suitable applicants will have/be:<ul><li>Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field)</li><li>Minimum 07 years of relevant experience in civil engineering works, preferably in power and energy projects.</li><li>Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar).</li><li>Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.</li></ul>SMEC is an equal opportunity employer.
