In this hybrid role, you will combine strong software engineering skills with a deep interest in asset optimisation and operational decision-making.You will help design, build, and continuously improve digital optimisation solutions that support the short-term planning of Vattenfall’s energy assets – including hydro, batteries, wind, and solar – across Continental Europe. Your work will directly contribute to balancing supply and demand, increasing portfolio flexibility, and supporting the stability of the European power systemYou will be welcomed by a very engaged and diverse team that values cooperation, in an environment where both business and employees thrive.In this position you will have the opportunities to make an impact to our business success and be part in our digital transformation journey, while learning first-hand about the energy transition and deepen your programming knowledge.As Asset Optimisation Manager/Software Engineer you have the following key responsibilities:<ul><li>You will be part of the regular operational short term optimisation shift, for about 50% of your time, where you will be responsible for bidding our power production into the energy markets, developing commercial strategies and using models to optimize the value of our power production</li><li>You will also be part of an agile team that develops micro services for the optimisation tool landscape</li><li>You will maintain and improve the optimisation tools as part of the agile team</li><li>Act as a bridge between technical development and asset optimisation, ensuring that optimisation logic, constraints, and business requirements are correctly reflected in software solutions.</li></ul>
