This includes the analysis, planning, review and filing of all US sales &amp; use tax (“SUT”), Canadian GST/HST/VAT, Canadian withholding, US and Canadian property tax (“PT”) returns and their defense on audit. Ensure effective coordination of all internal and external communication and correspondence related to the above areas while fostering key partnerships across business areas to help support process improvement efforts for Indirect Tax. Maintain SOX processes for the indirect tax compliance and reporting function and support SOX documentation/testing of the process.Key Accountabilities<ul> <li>Oversee and manage Vertex tax engine</li> <li>Oversee and manage all areas related to US SUT and Canadian VAT/GST</li> <li>Develop and update processes and controls related to effective indirect tax administration including documentation of key stakeholders across the business.</li> <li>Support Sr. Director with Budgeting, Planning, Forecasting, and process improvement projects across all areas of indirect tax.</li> <li>Oversee compliance administration related to Canadian and US PT.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Experience/Qualifications/Education Required<ul> <li>BS degree in Accounting/Economics/Business/Tax/Law</li> <li>10+ years experience with corporate and/or public accounting firm working directly in multi-state US transaction tax compliance management using a tax engine for invoice taxability determination</li> <li>Experience supporting construction or renewables preferred</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel</li> <li>Communication Skills</li> <li>Collaboration Skills</li> <li>Transaction tax la and tax technology knowledge</li></ul> The expected starting pay range for this role is $103,000 - $139,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
