It requires strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of industrial B2B solution sales, pumping technologies, and channel management, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a matrix, multinational environment.</p><p>Regular interaction with utilities, municipalities, consulting engineers, end users, distributors, and internal stakeholders is essential.</p><h3></h3><p></p><h2>Qualifications &amp; Experience</h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.</li><li>10+ years of experience in industrial B2B sales, preferably within utilities, municipal, wastewater, or stormwater markets.</li><li>Mandatory: at least 5 years of experience in the Water Utilities market with strong knowledge of wastewater and stormwater pumping systems.</li><li>Proven regional sales leadership experience managing distributed teams and sales channels.</li><li>Strong understanding of pumping technologies, engineered solutions, and services.</li><li>Solid financial and business acumen, including experience managing sales KPIs, revenue, margins, and forecasts.</li><li>Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce.</li><li>Fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.; Portuguese is a strong advantage.</li><li>MBA or Master’s degree preferred.</li></ul><h3></h3><p></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Sales Strategy &amp; Business Growth</h3><ul><li>Lead regional growth in orders, revenue, and gross margin for wastewater and stormwater pumping solutions, products, and services.</li><li>Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with market conditions, utilities demand, and public-sector projects.</li><li>Carry out market analysis to identify growth opportunities within utilities and municipal infrastructure markets, translating insights into actionable commercial plans.</li><li>Drive growth across new equipment, engineered solutions, and aftermarket/service offerings.</li></ul><h3>Channel &amp; Customer Management</h3><ul><li>Manage and develop regional distribution partners and sales representatives serving utilities and municipal customers.</li><li>Strengthen relationships with utility operators, municipalities, consulting engineers, and public-sector stakeholders to influence specifications and drive demand.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Service, and Service teams to enhance the overall customer experience.</li></ul><h3>Team Leadership &amp; Performance Management</h3><ul><li>Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.</li><li>Set clear objectives, KPIs, and accountability standards.</li><li>Foster a collaborative and high-performance commercial culture.</li></ul><h3>Sales Operations, Forecasting &amp; Financial Management</h3><ul><li>Drive a disciplined sales process and accurate forecasting using Salesforce / CRM tools.</li><li>Monitor pipeline, performance, revenue, and margins, ensuring solid understanding and control of financial KPIs.</li><li>Prepare and present sales performance reviews, forecasts, and financial insights to senior leadership.</li></ul><h3>Cross-functional &amp; Matrix Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Work closely with regional Operations and Customer Service teams to increase order conversion, improve margins, and ensure delivery excellence.</li><li>Collaborate with other Xylem brands to enable synergy, solution bundling, and best-practice sharing.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with Xylem policies, processes, and industry standards.</li></ul><h2>People Manager Scope</h2><ul><li>Manages professional employees and/or supervisors.</li><li>Accountable for budget, performance, and results of a medium-sized team or multiple small teams.</li><li>Leads initiatives with impact beyond own team, adapting plans to address operational and resource challenges.</li><li>Operates with autonomy within defined policies and business plans, aligned with senior management direction.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><span><span>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
