Together we can transform the future of energy. <h2>Responsibilities</h2> How you can make an impact:<ul> <li>Provide client support on electrical theory, technical problem-solving, code compliance, and other technical subject matter.</li> <li>Perform classic distribution planning studies including load growth projections based on historical trends, power flow studies in multiple software environments, planning criteria mitigation studies, and alternative analysis.</li> <li>Identify expected system impacts from the interconnection of distributed energy resource technologies and determine appropriate and cost-effective mitigation measures where necessary.</li> <li>Perform research and analysis work related to the proliferation of distributed energy resources and distribution automation capabilities including solar, wind, storage, electric vehicles, conservation voltage reduction, automated circuit restoration, and other emerging technologies.</li> <li>Prepare reports, letters, one-line diagrams, and maps to communicate study results.</li> <li>Process, generate, and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.</li> <li>Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.</li> <li>Participates in multi-functional teams to obtain input, address comments, and perform studies.</li> <li>Assists in developing tools, processes, and procedures that enhance engineering study completion.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here what’s needed:<ul> <li>Proven team player with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.</li> <li>Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters. </li> <li>Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills. </li> <li>Capable of managing multiple tasks. </li> <li>Flexible with the ability to manage change. </li> <li>Have high standards in producing quality reports and products that he/she shall own with pride. </li> <li>Strong technical report writing skills. </li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in power systems</li> <li>1 - 3 years of experience as a power systems engineer</li> <li>Experience performing distribution system modeling and studies including power flow, voltage drop, short circuit, protection coordination, and/or DER interconnection system impact studies.</li> <li>Experience with one or more distribution modeling and study tools (CYME preferred).</li> <li>Experience automating/programing in Python preferred.</li></ul> How we support you:<ul> <li>Comprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, dental, and vision </li> <li>Generous PTO and paid holidays</li> <li>MyShare - Employee Ownership Program</li> <li>Work with industry leaders</li> <li>401K, up to a 4% match (100% vested from day 1)</li> <li>Flexible Work including hybrid and remote possibilities base on position.</li></ul> Location: Open to Remote Applicants Travel:  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less) EPE is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
