Reporting into the HSE Manager, you’ll be the go-to HSE presence for our Stoke Gifford depot, supporting the effective management and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental standards.This is a hands-on, people-facing role where you’ll have real ownership, credibility on site and the opportunity to shape how HSE is embedded day to day – not just audited from afar.Some key responsibilities <ul><li>Championing a proactive, positive HSE culture across the depot</li><li>Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of HSE systems and procedures</li><li>Leading on risk assessments, investigations and corrective actions</li><li>Delivering HSE training, briefings and toolbox talks</li><li>Conducting regular site inspections, audits and safety tours</li><li>Managing environmental compliance, waste, pollution control and sustainability initiatives</li><li>Supporting internal audits and maintaining legal and compliance registers</li><li>Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, engineers and external stakeholders</li><li>Deputising for the HSE Manager when required</li></ul>About youYou’re an experienced and confident HSE professional who enjoys being visible, approachable and influential on site.You’ll bring:<ul><li>Experience in HSE within an engineering, manufacturing or similar complex environment</li><li>NEBOSH Certificate and a relevant Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA)</li><li>Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and environmental permitting</li><li>Experience as an internal auditor</li><li>Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage at all levels</li><li>A practical, solution-focused mindset with high personal standards</li><li>A collaborative approach and genuine passion for keeping people safe</li></ul>What we offer We value the importance of all of our employees, if you would like to join our fantastic organisation you could be entitled to:<ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>Potential opportunity for annual performance related bonus</li><li>25 days holiday</li><li>Pension scheme with contributions up to 9%</li><li>Private medical insurance</li><li>Personal Accident insurance</li><li>Group Income protection</li><li>Group Life Insurance</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme</li></ul>We also offer additional perks for you to choose from within a flexible plan that will meet your specific needs and lifestyle#LI-GF1
