This pivotal position requires a strong and independent leader who can analyze complex regulatory mechanisms, anticipate policy trends, build and leverage relationships with decision makers to drive results, and work cross-functionally to align company strategy with rapidly evolving legislative and regulatory risks and opportunities. </p><p></p><h3>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</h3><ul><li>Lead the development and execution of comprehensive policy strategies related to solar and energy storage sectors.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to influence regulatory and legislative outcomes.</li><li>Represent SolAmerica Energy in trade organizations, industry coalitions, and public forums to advocate for favorable policies.</li><li>Monitor and analyze policy trends and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities for the company.</li><li>Mentor and manage policy team members to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.</li></ul><h3>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 10 years experience in energy policy, with emphasis on solar and storage markets.</li><li>Proven track record of successfully shaping and influencing energy legislation and regulations.</li><li>Strong knowledge of energy market dynamics, project development lifecycle, and associated regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Experience working with regulators, utilities, and trade organizations.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.</li></ul><h3>KEY COMPETENCIES</h3><ul><li>Strategic thinker with ability to develop actionable policy strategies.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Analytical capabilities with attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.</li><li>Self-motivated and collaborative team player.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>SolAmerica Energy offers a competitive salary, benefits package (inclusive of equity-based compensation) and performance bonus opportunities with this position. </p><p> Our total rewards strategy is designed to support our employees to thrive professionally and personally while seeking to create a culture of work/life balance as we work toward our collective goals as a business. </p><p> We offer a monthly stipend to go towards communication expenses and all our health insurance benefits are effective from Day 1.
