DescriptionHamilton Kent is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Worker to join our team in Winchester, TN. This role is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving freight, inventory handling, and operating material-handling equipment. The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.Principal Accountabilities: <ul><li>Receive freight including offloading, verifying, inspecting, reporting, and documenting freight to standard procedures.</li><li>Ship freight, including verifying, loading &amp; documenting freight to standard procedures.</li><li>Put away and pick freight from warehouse using a forklift and Reach</li><li>Keep warehouse clean (end of day clean up ) and participate in 5S activities.</li><li>Support order processing and other warehouse activity as required.</li><li>Maintain drivers’ Shipping &amp; Receiving Log Conduct Lift truck inspection daily and report immediately any issues that might impede function or safety.</li><li>Move Q.A. released material from “Temporary Hold Area” to the warehouse.</li><li>Ensure garbage area is clean and tidy.</li><li>Must be able to meet and maintain company quality and production requirements</li><li>Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to.</li><li>Perform other duties as required by supervision to meet production requirements</li><li>Perform cycle counts as requested to ensure inventory accuracy.</li></ul>Health and Safety Responsibilities and Accountabilities:<ul><li>Adhere to all pertinent federal, provincial and local health and safety legislative requirements</li><li>Comply with Hamilton Kent’s Occupational Health and Safety Policy as well as relevant procedures and safety rules.</li><li>Immediately report any unsafe practice/condition or any accident/incident to</li></ul>Knowledge &amp; Skill Requirements: <ul><li>Forklift / Raymond Reach experience and/or Certificates</li><li>A working knowledge of computers</li><li>Completion of WHIMIS and Health &amp; Safety training.</li><li>1-year experience as a material handler in a warehouse environment</li></ul>Complexity &amp; Judgement: <ul><li>Work involves both routine and non-routine tasks requiring different and unrelated methods within authorized limits.</li></ul>Working Conditions: Incumbent spends almost 100% of their time in the plant environment requiring varying degrees of physical labor.
