The Customer Service Representative provides proficient, high-quality attention and assistance to new and existing customers. The work is performed under direct supervision and requires exercise of independent judgment and initiative. This position is located in East Pierce, WA.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Accurately balance and complete a daily cash report</li><li>Takes customer orders and provides high-quality customer service as necessary</li><li>Assists customers in person and by phone, addressing questions regarding billing, payments, conservation and water quality</li><li>Enters data into the computer as required with speed and accuracy</li><li>Performs a variety of routine clerical work, including filing, scanning, and collections, processing payments, scheduling appointments, and compiling reports</li><li>Operates standard office equipment, including word processing equipment as assigned; may perform duties on computer spreadsheet programs</li><li>Performs major cashiering duties, including taking payments in person, processing credit card payments, balances individual cash drawer, and prepares bank deposits</li><li>Edits meter reading, writes and resolves service orders, folds and stuffs bills as requested</li><li>Updates customer accounts as needed</li><li>Corresponds with customers regarding metered billing status</li><li>Scans and saves service orders, files customer and system service orders</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li><li>Performs work on-site at assigned locations</li><li>Duties may include supporting other partner states, excluding California</li><li>Attend meetings and training as required</li><li>May be requested to work overtime or an alternative schedule based on company needs</li></ul>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>Account skills for compiling adjustment and completing deposits</li><li>Fast and accurate data entry skills</li><li>Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel</li><li>Proficiency required in handling and balancing cash</li><li>Knowledge of English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation</li><li>Knowledge of office methods and equipment, including filing systems</li><li>Knowledge of principles and practices of customer service</li><li>Ability to operate a personal computer and other office equipment</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and with good humor</li><li>Ability to take initiative to address and resolve problems</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>High school diploma</li><li>Degree preferred</li><li>Five years of customer service experience</li><li>Minimum three years’ experience in a call center or shared services environment</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with a pleasant and professional manner</li><li>Prior utility experience preferred</li><li>Must be available to work extended hours as required for customer needs</li><li>Valid State Driver's License</li><li>Background check and clean driving record required</li></ul>Salary Range: $46,800 - $77,800Deadline to submit resume is Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
