Role Overview The Mechanical &amp; HVAC Design Engineer will drive the design and engineering of HVAC systems for mission-critical Data Center projects. You will work closely with senior engineers to develop concepts, detailed designs, and construction deliverables, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle—from design to commissioning. This role is ideal for engineers who are strong in fundamentals, eager to learn data center design, and capable of delivering high-quality engineering output under guidance.Experience required 4 to 10 years (with Data Center Design experience of 2 years) Key ResponsibilitiesDesign &amp; Engineering SupportDrive &amp; own the design of HVAC systems for data centers, including:<ul><li>Chilled water systems (air-cooled / water-cooled)</li><li>Primary &amp; Secondary pumps</li><li>CRAH / AHU-based cooling systems &amp; the Liquid cooling systems.</li><li>Ventilation and exhaust systems</li></ul>Perform engineering calculations:<ul><li>Heat load calculations</li><li>Duct sizing and static pressure calculations</li><li>Pipe sizing and basic hydraulic calculations</li><li>Support development of:</li><li>Layouts (equipment, ducting, piping)</li><li>Schematics and basic system diagrams</li></ul>Drawings &amp; BIM CoordinationPrepare and update:<ul><li>AutoCAD drawings (plans, sections, schematics)</li><li>Revit models (if applicable)</li><li>Coordinate with: Electrical, Architectural, Structural, and Fire teams</li><li>Support clash resolution and model coordination</li></ul> Documentation Support Assist in preparation of:<ul><li> Basis of Design (BOD)</li><li> Design reports and calculations</li><li> BOQs and technical specifications</li><li> Maintain organized documentation and drawing revisions</li></ul> Project Delivery Support  Work under guidance of senior engineers to:<ul><li>Implement design changes</li><li>Address review comments</li><li>Support design development from concept to IFC</li></ul> Assist in:<ul><li> Vendor drawing reviews</li><li>Technical submittal evaluations</li></ul>Construction &amp; Commissioning Exposure Provide support during:<ul><li>Construction stage (RFIs, drawing clarifications)</li><li>Site coordination (as required)</li></ul>Mandatory Skills &amp; CompetenciesTechnical Fundamentals<ul><li>Basic understanding of HVAC systems:</li><li>Air conditioning systems (DX / chilled water)</li><li>Ducting and piping systems</li><li>Liquid Cooling – direct to chip CDU - minimum</li><li>Ventilation systems</li></ul>Knowledge of:<ul><li>Heat load calculations</li><li>Basic airflow and hydraulic principles</li></ul>
