Service customers with service activities including service estimates, troubleshooting, service orders, project sales orders, scheduling information. Provide application support for products.</h2><h2></h2><h2><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities </b>include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.</h2><h2></h2><h2>REPAIR DUTIES</h2><h2>•  Depot repair, field repair, perform installations, and preventative maintenance/calibrations</h2><h2>•  Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills</h2><h2>•  Interpret and work from complex electromechanical blueprints, schematics, drawings and work instructions.</h2><h2>•  Perform set-up and analytical tests on any Teledyne Gas &amp; Flame Detector units</h2><h2>•  Interpret and record analytical data from testing</h2><h2>•  Installation of instrumentation in various environments, including, but not limited to manufacturing facilities</h2><h2>• Coordinate with on-site contractors and facility managers to ensure proper system installation</h2><h2>• Uses and maintains manufacturing and test equipment.</h2><h2></h2><h2>TECH SUPPORT DUTIES</h2><h2>Answer basic application and detailed service-related questions for Teledyne Gas &amp; Flame Detector units remotely.</h2><h2>• Enter Cases from customer phone calls and email inquiries</h2><h2>• Provide customers with written quotation on parts/service</h2><h2>•  Ability to work with and manage parts via the software that manages Teledyne’s financials and supply chain.</h2><h2>• Initiate and/or process return authorization for incorrect or defective material ordered, shipped or received.</h2><h2>• Schedule and complete installation, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance at customer site</h2><h2>• Excellent Remote technical and troubleshooting skills</h2><h2>• Patiently explain complex technical systems to individuals and groups in person and remotely.</h2><h2>• Creates and edits user manuals, checklists, troubleshooting guides, etc.</h2><h2>• Ability to effectively interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, videos, and documents for new system startup, certifications, and systems maintenance. </h2><h2>• Responsible for achieving technical supports quality and productivity measurements</h2><h2>• Participate actively in the quality process including [project team involvement, problem solving, corrective and preventative actions and recommending solutions to enhance and improve the quality of departmental and/or company-wide business activities.</h2><h2></h2><h2>TRAVEL</h2><h2>•  An average of 10% overnight travel expected</h2><h2>•  Domestic and International with an emphasis on domestic travel</h2><h2>•  Travel on short notice required</h2><h2></h2><h2>GENERAL</h2><h2>•  Must be self-motivated, display an enthusiastic attitude and initiative and a willingness to be flexible.</h2><h2>•  Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team</h2><h2>•  lift 35-55lbs if needed. </h2><h2></h2><h2><b>Qualifications</b></h2><h2></h2><h2>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
