The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize grocery products within the warehouse. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.What you will do:<ul><li>Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport grocery products throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, and stacking products in designated storage areas.</li><li>Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of product movements within the warehouse.</li><li>Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill customer orders by accurately picking and staging products for shipment, following established procedures and safety guidelines.</li><li>Adhere to all company safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation, including conducting pre-operational checks, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety hazards or incidents to management.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs to maintenance personnel.</li><li>Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and address any issues or concerns related to forklift operations.</li></ul>What you have:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Ability to pass internal forklift operator certification.</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience operating (stand-up) forklifts in a warehouse or similar </li><li>environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of company and OSHA safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation.</li><li>Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees and below)</li><li>Regular work with computers, including G Suite and Excel. </li><li>Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel.</li><li>Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) </li><li>Annual Misfits grocery box credit of $1200 paid in weekly installments</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid vacation time</li><li>Paid holidays </li><li>Paid sick days</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Hourly Rate: $17.50/hr.</li></ul>Schedule:Thursday-Sunday <ul><li>Thursday 12 pm-5 pm</li><li>Friday-Saturday 7 am-5:30 pm</li><li>Sunday- 6:00 am-4:30 pm </li></ul> Please see here for Misfits Market's <a href="https://www.misfitsmarket.com/careers-privacy">Job Applicant Privacy Notice</a>.
