KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Assist the client in overseeing Quantity Survey related works on projects assigned both locally and in Singapore.</li><li>Maintain cost data base for both Philippine market and Singapore market.</li><li>Coordinate communication between project team members, contractors and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration.</li><li>Facilitate progress meetings with contractors and manage progress claims to the client on weekly and monthly basis.</li><li>Document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings.</li><li>Determine and highlight any project changes. Evaluate the potential contractual risks due to the changes and prepare contingency plans to minimise the risks.</li><li>Monitor project progress, identify contractual claim related issues, risks, or delays, and propose adjustments to schedules or strategies as necessary.</li><li>Provide regular updates and detailed reports on project status, developments, and outcomes.</li><li>Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.</li><li>Undertake project tasks assigned by Project Manager, when required.</li><li>Manage team of QS personnel to produce high quality and timely deliverables.</li><li>Report to local Manager in Philippines and overall QS unit head in Singapore</li><li>Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies.</li><li>Perform risk, value management, and cost control.</li><li>Advise on procurement strategies and contractual matters.</li><li>Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.</li><li>Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.</li><li>Allocate work to subcontractors and manage subcontractor accounts.</li><li>Monitor and report on project progress and prepare valuations and final accounts.</li><li>Ensure compliance with legal and quality standards throughout the project.</li><li>Mentor and provide guidance to junior surveyors and other team members.</li></ul>RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineer / Quantity Survey or related field of study.</li><li>Proven experience in construction project management or a similar role.</li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills.</li><li>Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.</li><li>Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.</li><li>Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.</li><li>Ability to work on tight deadlines.</li><li>Willing to accept Project-base status</li><li>Willing to be stationed in Manila throughout the assignment.</li></ul>At Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
