<h2><span style="font-size:14pt;">About this Role</span></h2><p>We are searching for a Senior Business Development Manager, Satellite Constellations to join the Muon Space team. You will be responsible for growing business in the areas of the Department of War (DoW). The Senior Business Development Manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Growth and collaborates closely with Muon Space’s Engineering, Technology, legal and finance departments. You will be responsible for outreach to the DoW customer community as well as strategic planning for that portfolio. You will actively contribute to Muon Space’s internal development, setting priorities and service as a voice for the customer. You will service as a capture manager to create and lead a number of new opportunities.</p><p>As a Senior. Business Development (BD) Manager working in the portfolio focused on DoW/IC, you will be responsible for creating new opportunities, leading capture activities, proposals and successfully winning new business. In this role, you will lead and perform key functions necessary to go from initial customer engagement/ lead to fully awarded contracts.</p><h2><span style="font-size:14pt;">Key Responsibilities</span></h2><ul><li>Drive near term and long term growth for Muon Space in DoD.</li><li>Lead customer engagement, pipeline development and capture efforts.</li><li>Provide thought leadership in the development and synthesis of a cohesive and executable strategy for target organizations.</li><li>Identify new opportunities and lead capture throughout pipeline stages to support company growth targets.</li><li>Create, maintain and implement customer engagement plans.</li><li>Lead proposals and RFI responses. As part of proposal leadership- develop win themes, engage with engineering to develop technical solutions, develop Price to Win,  write content and perform overall review of content before submission.</li><li>Leverage Muon Space’s tools and processes to track and manage opportunities.</li><li>Collaborate with other BD personnel and engineering on opportunities.</li><li>Provide input from Customers into the product technology roadmap.</li><li>Work with Legal and Finance on opportunities.</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul><h2><span style="font-size:14pt;">Basic Qualifications</span></h2><ul><li>10+ years of professional experience in aerospace/ defense with 5+ years in Business Development.</li><li>Able to build a plan and execute with clear ownership and minimal oversight.</li><li>Experience working with business development on USG captures and supporting and/or leading proposals.</li><li>Demonstrated success capturing space business within the DoW.</li><li>Continuous learner that is not afraid to lead through uncertainty, take chances, and learn from his/her mistakes.</li><li>Consistently takes initiative and champions causes that need to be addressed.</li><li>Demonstrated emotional intelligence to interact and empathize with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and customers.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment.</li><li>Able to travel up to 35% of time.</li><li>Ability to obtain a clearance.</li></ul><h2><span style="font-size:14pt;">Desired Qualifications</span></h2><ul><li>Master’s degree in technical field.</li><li>Demonstrated experience delivering to DoW/IC.</li><li>Mission knowledge in the area of Space Based Environmental Monitoring.</li><li>Previous Profit &amp; Loss (P&amp;L) responsibility.</li><li>Experience with remote sensing satellite development and/or mission operations.</li><li>Experience working with a diverse set of U.S. Government DoW, IC and Civil customers.</li><li>Understanding of systems engineering processes and system architectures</li></ul><h2><span style="font-size:14pt;">Salary</span></h2><p>The salary range for this role is $147,000 - $164,000, OTE $294,000 – $328,000 (base + target commission at 100% quota attainment). Commission structure is uncapped. Plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
