From leading audits to coaching employees and driving compliance, your work will directly impact the safety and well-being of our people.If you enjoy being visible on the floor, solving problems, and turning safety into a shared mindset—not just a requirement—this role will give you the platform to make a real difference.<div></div><div></div>Principal Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE programs, including adapting initiatives, developing site procedures, and driving engagement</li><li>Partner with site teams to identify risks, implement controls, and strengthen safe work practices, including reviewing changes to equipment, materials, and processes</li><li>Conduct safety observations, inspections, audits, and gap analyses, ensuring clear action plans and follow-up on corrective actions</li><li>Support and facilitate incident investigations, reporting, and claims management, ensuring root cause analysis and timely preventive actions</li><li>Ensure regulatory and corporate compliance, including audit coordination, environmental reporting, and KPI tracking</li><li>Deliver and coordinate HSE training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety communications</li><li>Maintain HSE systems, documentation, and core programs, including PPE, hazardous materials, inspection tracking, and first aid readiness (supplies, certifications, and records)</li><li>Escalate critical HSE risks or issues to leadership as needed</li><li>Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE programs, including adapting initiatives, developing site procedures, and managing associated documentation and processes</li><li>Partner with site teams to identify risks, implement controls, and strengthen safe work practices, including reviewing changes to equipment, materials, and processes</li><li>Conduct safety observations, inspections, audits, and gap analyses, ensuring clear action plans and follow-up on corrective actions</li><li>Support and facilitate incident investigations, reporting, and claims management, including accurate documentation and tracking, ensuring root cause analysis and timely preventive actions</li><li>Ensure regulatory and corporate compliance, including audit coordination, environmental reporting, and KPI tracking</li><li>Deliver and coordinate HSE training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety communications</li><li>Maintain HSE systems, documentation, and core programs, including PPE, hazardous materials, inspection tracking, and first aid readiness (supplies, certifications, and records)</li><li>Escalate critical HSE risks or issues to leadership as needed</li></ul><div></div><div></div>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Technical diploma in Occupational Health &amp; Safety (university degree considered an asset)</li><li>Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, working in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset</li><li>Professional certification (e.g., CRSP, CRST, CSP) is an asset</li><li>Strong understanding of Alberta OHS Regulations and Codes </li><li>Proven ability to build relationships, influence others, and deliver training effectively</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Comfortable working on-site and engaging directly with employees and leaders</li><li>Strong computer and reporting skills</li></ul>IPEX is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.
