We focus on designs using a highly digital and visual approach. You will be an important part of a close-knit team working on a wide variety of project work with signature architects in and around London and internationally. Within our team there is rapid progression on offer for talented candidates. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: <ul><li>Electrical delivery on high rise and/or complex projects.</li><li>Undertake and oversee design work from concept through to detailed design ensuring technical excellence, always maintaining outstanding levels of client service.</li><li>Complete and present designs in a highly visual and graphical style. </li><li>Act in the capacity of Lead Electrical Designer, to co-ordinate the tasks so all deadlines are met</li><li>React quickly to client and architectural requirements for plant space, riser requirements and energy strategies.</li><li>Be involved in competitions where innovative thinking is required.</li><li>Have a sustainable mindset to develop and embed sustainable principals within our designs.</li><li>Manage and mentor junior staff within our discipline, contributing to their development.</li></ul>The key deliverables over the first 12-24 months for this role will be:<ul><li>Become an integral part of the high rise team taking responsibility for electrical design of projects.</li><li>Ensuring technical quality in electrical design output.</li><li>Help deliver projects profitably and to the satisfaction of our clients.</li><li>Support existing high rise projects.</li></ul> Your starting point for constant growthFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is: <ul><li>To be a qualified Engineer with 8-10 years experience having a proven and demonstrable track record for your core discipline and a working knowledge of complimentary disciplines</li><li>Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline</li><li>To hold a CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree</li><li>To be a Chartered Engineer or be working towards IEng or CEng status.</li><li>To have an appreciation of commercial and technical risks and to act appropriately upon them.</li><li>To have an interest in or experience using digital and parametric design tools. We seek engineers that fit with our culture and have experience working digitally.</li><li>Expertise in <a href="https://parametric-architecture.com/tag/revit/">Revit</a> is essential, with skills in <a href="https://parametric-architecture.com/tag/rhino/">Rhino</a> and <a href="https://parametric-architecture.com/tag/Grasshopper-3d/">Grasshopper</a> preferred.</li><li>Expertise in a wide range of electrical design software.</li><li>HV experience and knowledge would be beneficial.</li><li>The right candidate will have a portfolio which demonstrates creative thinking, flair and broad range of technical skills.
