As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in being the technical interface between the R&amp;D Design teams and the field installation and operations teams.</h3></div><br><br><h3>What you will do:</h3><ul><div><li><p>Be the main interface between the product design team and the field installation teams</p></li><li>Identify areas for improvement in all aspects of the system from design to manufacturing, installation and processes</li><li><p>Provide technical design advice and guidance to the field design teams</p></li><li><p>Work closely with the support, field and the operations teams, provide day to day support to all heat pump installs</p></li><li><p>Actively provide customer support as required</p></li><li><p>Continuously monitor the performance data (e.g. COP/SCOP) collected for every install, debug issues, maintain the issue log, and advise improvements</p></li><li><p>Maintain the spares list and update as a new product is introduced</p></li><li><p>Travel to customer sites as required, as well as to Portadown in Belfast to work closely with the R&amp;D and the manufacturing teams</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the training of the support and installation teams as required</p></li><li><p>Be the owner of technical documentations for installers, customers, logistics</p></li><li><p>Present technical solutions to the design team</p></li><li><p>Analyse warranty returns and interface with suppliers on technical discussions in finding the route cause</p></li></div></ul><h3>What you'll need</h3><ul><li><p>Degree in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline</p></li><li><p>5+ years experience in design of mechanical parts of a heating or a cooling product or system</p></li><li><p>Understanding of heat pump design and HVAC systems</p></li><li><p>Experience in retrofit and new build heating/cooling installs</p></li><li><p>Appreciation of smart electronic control systems relevant to heating/cooling system design</p></li></ul><h3>Desirable</h3><ul><li><p>Knowledge for heat pump components (e.g compressors, inverters, fans, evaporators, condensers), thermodynamics and refrigeration circuits, power electronics and hydraulic system design</p></li><li><p>Understanding of standard compliance, regulations and legislations relevant to heat pump design and residential installations (MCS, F-gas, relevant EN specifications)</p></li></ul><br><div><b>If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you. </b></div><div><br></div><div>Are you ready for a career with us?
