<div> About the role Burn is looking for a Tooling Technician who will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and manufacture of sheet metal stamping tools, jigs, and fixtures to support efficient production operations. The role plays a key part in minimizing downtime, improving tooling performance, and ensuring all tooling activities are carried out safely, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities <ul style="margin-bottom:8px;"><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Repair and maintain sheet metal stamping tools, jigs, and assembly fixtures.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance </li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Attend breakdowns, identify faults, and problem-solve at the press with minimal downtime to aid production. </li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Report breakdown of root causes, equipment faults, and management concerns.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Identify spare requirements and maintain inventory levels.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;"> Take ownership of a smaller, less complex specific tool suite to develop and maintain performance with minimal supervision.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Manufacture new press tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support production activity.</li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Record all relevant data about tooling and record on the Tool Room database. </li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Understand and operate within basic cost/budget measures for tooling. </li><li style="margin-bottom:8px;margin-left:20px;text-align:justify;">Work within the 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain the workplace to a high standard. </li></ul>Skills and Experience<ul style="margin-bottom:14px;"><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Ability to operate mechanical workshop machines – Lathe, milling and surface grinder.</li><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Excellent hands-on skills in using hand tools and bench fitting.</li><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.</li><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Sound knowledge of Sheet metal tools manufacturing process. </li><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Action-oriented</li><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues. </li><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Well organized. </li><li style="margin-bottom:14px;margin-left:26px;text-align:justify;">Works well in a team. </li></ul>                                                 Qualified Female Candidates encouraged to Apply BURN does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process (application, interview, meeting, processing, training, or any other fees).     </div>
