We are present on four continents and are headquartered in Oslo, Norway. Main purpose of positionCurrently we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor, in Bacau Romania to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Quantity Surveyor, you will successfully conduct contractor tenders against bill of quantities, site progress measurement and follow up of contracts in accordance with the corporate standards, policies and procedures. You will assist the contract representatives with the pro-active administration to secure the cost, time and quality as envisaged in the contractsProject location – Comuna Buciumi, Judetul Bacau Main responsibilities <ul> <li>Follow the guidelines and prescribed structures as outlined by the operating system.</li> <li>Provide continuous input towards improvement and optimisation of the operating system.</li> <li>Successfully implement the operating system throughout the development, structuring and execution phase of the Project.</li> <li>Assist to prepare tender documents with the input of engineering, quality, HSE and other relevant departments in accordance with policies and procedures.</li> <li>Commercial assessment of tenders and alignment of bills of quantities</li> <li>Participate in tender clarification meetings.</li> <li>Assist in preparing contracts for major purchases, consultants and construction, but with predominate focus on construction packages.</li></ul>Management of contracts<ul> <li>Assist with drafting contract correspondence, variation orders and notices in accordance with the contract.</li> <li>Maintain a contract register depicting correspondence in and out, variations, contract risks and final account details.</li> <li>Ensure that Work Package Manager and Project Manager is kept abreast of critical topics that have the potential to affect time, cost or quality.</li> <li>Attend internal and external progress meetings in coordination with the project manager.</li> <li>Conduct progress measurements for payment certification.</li> <li>Settle site disputes on quantities and minor contract issues.</li> <li>Keep contractor relations and correspondence open and clear.</li> <li>Liaise with Project Controller and set up a system to ensure all Contract changes are traceable from start to finish so that an auditable trail is available.</li> <li>Receive and check invoices, prepare payment certificates in accordance with the contracts.</li> <li>Prepare final account agreements.</li></ul>Qualifications and competencies <ul> <li>B.Sc.
