Are you ready to take the first step in your civil engineering career with a company that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth? Timmons Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer I candidate for our Richmond, VA office's Traffic Analysis &amp; Planning Group.Essential duties and responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis;</li><li>Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation;</li><li>Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems</li><li>Research and prepare material specifications, installation guidelines, and inspection protocols.</li><li>Work to complete design details and plan sets</li><li>Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff</li><li>Collaborate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff</li><li>Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports that drive project success.</li></ul>Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:<ul><li>A bachelor’s or master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related degree with coursework in transportation/traffic preferred</li><li>EIT preferred</li><li>Knowledge of Traffic Analyses, Planning Studies, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing is preferred</li></ul>
